Content Strategy

Apr 19

The Content Marketing Manager will create flagship content that helps build Quorum’s brand and generate engagement in order to help build and expedite our sales pipeline. They will create content that positions Quorum as a thought leader and strategic partner in the public affairs industry through e-books, reports, webinars, conference keynotes, blogs, and more.

What You’ll Do

  • First Week: You’ll read through Quorum’s existing content library and meet the other members of Quorum’s marketing team to understand how content fits into our larger marketing strategy.
  • First Month: You’ll learn the ins and outs of Quorum’s product and how it addresses the needs of a public affairs audience, with a particular focus on decision-makers and enterprise accounts. You will write your first content piece for an upcoming campaign based on a given brief.
  • First Six Months: You will develop your own content ideas to support demand generation and sales enablement through research and conversations with subject matter experts.
  • First Year: You will take a data-driven approach to measuring content’s success in order to make recommendations for our content calendar. You’ll take ownership of some of Quorum’s content streams.

About You

  • You have at least three years of experience writing long-form content (1500 words or more) for an external audience in a content marketing, journalism, and/or communications role
  • You have experience writing content to support an inbound marketing funnel for a B2B organization
  • You have research skills where you can look at a dataset — like survey results, legislative voting records, or public affairs salary metrics — and find a compelling story.
  • You feel at home in long-form writing—if given the choice, you’d rather write a 1,500-word article than one-sentence web-copy
  • You have experience managing outside resources like designers or video editors to support your content
  • You are an especially competitive candidate if you have at least one year of experience working in or around the public affairs industry (e.g., working for a government agency, lobbying in a state legislature, and/or building grassroots advocacy programs at a non-profit organization)
  • You are a superstar if you are a natural “people person” who easily establishes rapport and finds joy in the ability to build expertise by identifying and learning from subject matter experts
