Canva’s Commitment and Mission

At Canva, we celebrate diversity. We deeply believe that bringing together diversity of thoughts, perspectives and expression is key to building the best product, team and company. We look for many different skills and abilities, as well as how you can enhance Canva and our culture. So, even if you don’t think you quite meet all of the skills listed or tick all the boxes, we’d still love to hear from you!

Our mission at Canva is to empower the world to design and since launching in 2013, we have grown exponentially, amassing over 75 million monthly active users across 190 different countries and a team of over 2,800 people… and the best bit is that we’ve only achieved 1% of what we know we’re capable of.

Join us and design your future.

About the role:

We’re looking for a Content Marketing Manager who can plan and manage large-scale SEO and content marketing campaigns that drive awareness, consideration, and adoption for Canva as a work product. As our content acquisition lead for Teams, you’ll set the strategy for content that drives new audiences and users into our B2B web ecosystem.

You’ll partner with our central SEO team to build a full SEO strategy and long-form blog content that incrementally increases organic traffic to our website. You’ll work closely with our web team and content admins to design and execute a variety of web content: from page optimisations to content acquisition plays that encourage new users to sign up for the product.

You’ll ensure content marketing assets — web pages, blog posts, videos, etc. — are strategically aligned with marketing and business goals and with our season campaign calendar. You’ll plan and lead a robust content calendar and production team, partnering with stakeholders across all channels including performance marketing, social media, lifecycle, product, and more to identify the best distribution strategies and deliver world-class B2B content to our broad and complex audience base.

You’ll partner with external creative agency partners to help scale our SEO and content efforts and will liaise with local market experts to ensure our work resonates with local audiences.

What you'll do:

  • Own the strategy and execution of a global organic content acquisition strategy for Canva Teams.
  • Design and launch evergreen website content campaigns that align with marketing, sales, and product priorities.
  • Liaise closely with internal and external SEO strategists to design and execute a full SEO strategy, and use insights to build high-performing web pages.
  • Own the distribution strategy for content assets and campaigns, driving new traffic and conversions across our content library.
  • Bring big, bold ideas for content campaigns and assets that will help us expand our reach and influence among B2B buyers.
  • Partner with our CRO manager to optimise landing pages for conversion to drive user growth.
  • Work with our brand creative and customer education teams to bring content to life through new mediums. Partner with social, web, design, product, product marketing, and lifecycle to implement new assets into the buyer journey.
  • Report out on the performance of our traffic, website, and campaigns, analysing success and testing new tactics to improve every time.
  • Assist in the seasonal planning and evaluation of requests from business partners as they relate to the global content marketing calendar, including consulting with international teams on how our campaigns can scale to other regions.
  • Design and manage a seasonal content calendar and a group of external agencies and freelancers who will bring it to life under your guidance.
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and feedback to ensure information is communicated to internal creative leads and channel owners at every step of the way.

What we're looking for:

  • You’re eager to learn and evolve. From creative craft to leadership skills to market trends – you never stop pushing into the next big challenge. You work alongside people who are better than you at some things. To you this isn’t a threat, but an opportunity to learn and grow.
  • You think and act as we, not me. We’re all in this together. You love nothing more than to collaborate and build trusted relationships with your team, ensuring everyone is empowered to do the best work of their life, and having the best time doing it.
  • Right brain, left brain. Your head is in the clouds while your feet are on the ground. You balance creative and strategic excellence, flipping between big picture thinking and performance analysis without jeopardising the quality of either.
  • You’re a fantastic communicator. Your communication skills help you work cross-functionally with other teams. You brainstorm concepts and facilitate workshops. You give and receive constructive feedback and can clearly articulate how creative work can be improved, mentoring others to deliver their best work.
  • You have a bias for action. You’re happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. No task is too small (or big) if it helps the team around you to be more effective, and rallies them to achieve their goals faster.
  • Always striving for your best. You’re a talented content marketer, yet you never stop pursuing excellence in yourself and in your work – “Good, better, best. Never let it rest. Until your good is better and your better’s best.”
  • You have 6+ years experience in content marketing or inbound marketing roles within B2B companies, including experience managing a full SEO program.
