Original9 Media, a LaunchSquad company, is looking for an experienced Senior Editor to help the team develop, produce and publish custom content for emerging and established brands. Original9 is working remotely. We are open to remote work candidates for this opportunity.
The Senior Editor partners with Editorial Directors and Writers to conceptualize, assign, edit and publish high-quality custom content for brands. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience as an editor, with the ability to toggle between writing and editing long-form articles and short blog posts, snappy social copy and other traditional content marketing formats. Familiarity with B2B content topics like tech, marketing, science, health, finance and more is key. And experience in both media and branded content is necessary.
The Senior Editor is highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines across several accounts and projects. They have experience working on a variety of story forms: news articles, technical blogs, newsletters, white papers, e-books, social media posts, podcast scripts, presentations and other strategic content. The Senior Editor is experienced leading and managing clients as well as building a trusted freelance network of writers.
- 7+ years experience in editorial leadership and/or content management roles
- Proven track record publishing high-quality digital content
- Unassailable writing and editing chops
- Skilled at working with growing writers from story development to publication
- Ability to grow an external network of writers, experts and contributors within niche markets/subject matters
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passionate about enterprise technology and brand journalism
- Flexible approach to work and team
- Portfolio of writing and editing
