Crayon is hiring a content marketing senior specialist to help us fuel our inbound marketing efforts with educational and engaging content. We're looking for a talented content creator with a strong background in SEO to develop content that both resonates with our audience and converts! In this role you will help own the content marketing process from start to finish, from ideation to writing, publishing, and optimizing Crayon's content.

A little about the job:

  • Collaborate across Crayon's marketing team, the broader Crayon team, customers, and industry influencers to consistently create quality content
  • Work closely with the content team to build out and manage our editorial calendar
  • Manage and improve Crayon's organic search rankings through the creation and optimization of Crayon content
  • Own our keyword strategy and help build out content clusters
  • Manage both on-page SEO and off-page SEO, providing consistent guidance on how we can improve
  • Draft a variety of content formats - from website copy to blog posts to articles. Strong copywriting and editing skills are a must!
  • Consistently review organic search performance - traffic, click-through rates, conversion - and determine next steps; how can we act on our findings?
  • Work with freelance writers and designers, providing helpful feedback along the way to ensure our content is high quality
  • Be a content idea source; work with the content and marketing teams to help us determine what we can create that will best serve our audience and the problems they're currently looking to solve
  • Stay up to date on the latest search algorithm changes and provide insights to the team

The following key performance indicators shall be used:

  • Organic traffic. This role will track Crayon's organic search results as well as a breakdown of leads coming from organic sources
  • Content performance. This role will help track how content is driving traffic, leads, closed deals and revenue for Crayon.

A little bit about you:

  • A minimum of 3 years in a content/SEO role
  • Experience in B2B SaaS and/or tech is preferred
  • Exceptional copywriting and editing skills
  • Experience leading projects from start to successful completion along with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Extremely Detail-oriented - typos don’t get past you!
  • Experience with web analytics software and keyword tools
  • Knowledge of optimization strategy and tactics
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to dive into content and SEO metrics and determine the next best steps
  • Team-oriented - you thrive when collaborating and brainstorming ideas with others; experience working with writers and designers is a plus
