Who You Are:

Invicti is looking for a seasoned content strategist to design and deliver a comprehensive content marketing strategy that spans the entire customer lifecycle, helping us to build brand awareness and preference, nurture prospects through a buyer journey, attract buyers to our web properties, and reinforce a customer’s decision to buy and renew. You will oversee a team that writes content that speaks to broad industry themes, problems our buyers face, and our core value proposition, across our blog, long-form assets, webinar decks, industry reports, and articles.

The chosen candidate brings a mix of skills including the ability to design a strategic content engine and editorial strategy, manage a distributed team of writers, and design processes to manage, communicate, and optimize content development. They will be a deeply collaborative individual who can work closely with other leaders in marketing, product marketing, and sales to identify the highest-impact stories to tell and design the right ways to tell them.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manage and coach a high-performing team of 3-4 writers, and do a fair bit of writing and editing yourself
  • Collaborate with our PR, demand creation, and web teams to understand and deliver on their content requirements
  • Set a vision and strategy for a growth-driving content function; develop and maintain an achievable editorial calendar that delivers on our business objectives
  • Ensure that major content initiatives deliver the most impact to the business by delivering in different formats and across different motions and enabling sales, CS, and other teams to reinforce the story where appropriate
  • Collaborate with product marketing to understand the priority value narratives and storylines requiring content coverage and to make sure our content is accurate and high-impact
  • Track, analyze, and regularly share updates on content performance and its impact on site traffic, pipeline, revenue, and customer engagement. Desired outcomes include site traffic from search, reduced content bounce rates, increased engagement with content promoted on social, and increased email clickthrough rates.
  • Maintain a current understanding of the competitive landscape and competitors’ content; identify places where Invicti can break through and differentiate itself
  • Source and manage freelance and agency content resources, as needed

WhatYou'll Need:

  • 7+ years in B2B tech content marketing roles, at least 2 in cybersecurity
  • 2+ years leading a content team or broader marketing team that includes content
  • Strong player-coach orientation; ready to lead an experienced team but also embraces the opportunity to roll up sleeves and do work
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills; you have a model for driving alignment and input to ensure that not a drop of ink is wasted on low-value or inaccurate content
  • You are an outcomes-focused leader, as comfortable in data-driven decision marketing as you are in a creative brainstorm about content ideas
  • Morning person - your team will be partially in Europe, which means early meetings most days
