Our clients are B2B SaaS startups, tech for good companies, and nonprofits/charities. In 2022, weโ€™re building an even stronger footprint in the US and UK/EU markets.

The Role

The Content Strategist is a crucial strategic and operational linchpin among the LH team.

  • As Content Strategist, you help to build strategy and ensure it gets executed effectively.
  • You lead the agency in executing our grand strategic plans for clients and our own organisation at the tactical and operational level.
  • After building client-specific content strategies and content calendars, the Content Strategist manages overall content operations (e.g. Brief > Write > Design > Client Review > Revise > Publish > Promote) each step of the way.
  • You toggle between Slack, Asana, SEMRush, Google Analytics, Notion, Google Drive and other systems to ensure content is flowing smoothly.

A Day in the Life (aka "Duties")

As Content Strategist, here's what your work will look like:

  • With both clients and for LH internally, you will:
  • Conduct effective keyword research that informs overall strategy (e.g. SEMRush)
  • Build, maintain, and execute quarterly content calendars (e.g. within Google Sheets)
  • Manage content operations within project management software (e.g. Asana)
  • Develop and disseminate high-quality briefs for writers and designers
  • Edit writing + coach writers + advise designers to ensure the high quality deliverables
  • Co-lead monthly client strategy calls alongside the CEO and CSO
  • Co-manage the posting of content to CMSs (e.g. WordPress & SquareSpace)
  • Build and maintain analytics scorecards in workbooks (i.e. pulling data from Google Analytics, Ahrefs, social platforms, etc.)
  • Develop organic and paid promotional plans for each client and every piece of content (i.e. help us figure out how to distribute the hell out of each piece of content and execute that plan alongside our Promo Team)
  • Engage in other ad-hoc duties as they arise

The Profile

  • You're highly-responsive on email, Slack, Asana, etc. (but you also set clear work-hour boundaries, stick to them, and communicate with the team).
  • Your organization skills are exceptional. You know content operations and you keep the working flowing through numerous stakeholder gates.
  • You have significant "range" when it comes content subject matter (i.e. you can pivot from working on US K-12 education-focused content for nonprofits and to deep tech B2B SaaS content strategy).
  • You know what great content looks like, across all domains.
  • You're a solid relationship-builder (with teammates, clients, partners, etc.).
  • You dig deep into the data and can show the value of digital/content strategy in terms of actual results (traffic, conversions, shares, engagement, clicks, etc.).
  • You are creative, strategic, persistent, and you take initiative (ask questions, then act).
  • You want to build cool new stuff (like a new agency perhaps).
