Content Marketing Manager
Boston, MA, USA
LogRocket, a SaaS tool that gives dev and UX teams visibility into the customer experience, is hiring a Content Marketing Manager. This person will be the seventh person on the LogRocket content team and help the company add to its existing 3 million monthly uniques. You can read the full job description here.
Watch our interview with Director of Content Brian Neville-O'Neill here:
The LogRocket team is focused on editorial, not content creation. This means that most of your work will be focused on assigning, supporting, and editing work from freelancers. I love this approach because it means LogRocket can rely on subject matter experts in two ways: content experts get to facilitate great work and dev/UX experts can write based on their first-hand experience.
Here are a few important notes about this role:
- You'll be working on content strategy at scale. LogRocket works with 450 writers and publishes frequently (sometimes multiple times per day). You don't get to 3 million monthly uniques by accident. This is a big-time content operation and you'll get to learn exactly how to execute at such an impressive scale.
- You'll be editing more than you'll be writing. One of the main responsibilities of this role is to keep the content pipeline moving. That means assigning work, editing, and publishing. As Brian mentioned, it's an editorial role for a big SaaS publication. You'll need strong writing chops, of course, but your day-to-day work will focus mostly on helping others write well.
- You'll be working in (or near) Boston. When it's safe, LogRocket will be returning to its Boston office. There's no timetable for this yet, but Brian is looking for someone within striking distance of the office. You don't need to be there every single day. Two or three days per week is the goal.
It's also worth noting that LogRocket is well-funded and offers great benefits. You can expect catered lunches, health insurance, stock options, and a flexible schedule.
