We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated head of content partnerships to lead the company’s fast-growing product division. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this is a hybrid role that combines content strategy and commercial expertise to oversee PRovoke Media’s global branded content and solutions activity. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished multi-platform editorial or account leader with a solid digital background and excellent experience developing and selling custom content-driven solutions across multiple mediums (display, video, social, email, events.)

The head of content partnerships will work closely with PRovoke Media’s associate publisher and marketing, events and editorial teams to drive the production of brand content and experiences for partners. This individual will sell prospects on the value of the PRovoke Media’s product offering and manage a network of freelancers, when necessary, to execute on programs. The individual will also oversee PRovoke Media’s commercial strategy in terms of working with commercial partners at external events, such as the Cannes Lions, World Economic Forum, South by Southwest and the Consumer Electronics Show, among others.

The head of content partnerships will oversee PRovoke Media’s revenue-generating initiatives across the company’s branded content, events and advertising solutions. This includes developing creative marketing strategies to attract and retain commercial partners, while also managing those relationships on a sustainable, long-term basis. The role involves significant industry visibility at key events and a strong understanding of editorial credibility.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth objectives
  • Sell and maintain prospects and partnerships on the value of PRovoke Media’s content solutions
  • Develop, implement, and manage a thorough and consistent process with appropriate metrics for pipeline management
  • Personally build and maintain deep relationships with key industry leaders, including PR agency leaders and in-house communications and marketing executives
  • Oversee account management and manage sales team
  • Develop and implement content ideas and solutions that use PRovoke Media's full portfolio and platform to achieve client objectives
  • Execute a high volume of day-to-day account activities and weekly in-person meetings, directly and through other staff
  • Work closely with other departments within PRovoke Media, including marketing, editorial, events, finance
  • Be on top of relevant market trends, client needs, expectations and opportunities as well as shifts in the competitive landscape
  • Manage activation of brand partnerships and products either in conjunction with other PRovoke Media teams or via freelancer networks

Requirements:

  • 3+ years successful brand/content solutions experience. Alternatively, this role is suitable for a results-driven editorial journalist making the shift to the commercial side.
  • Outstanding communications skills including negotiation skills and consultative selling skills
  • Flawless presentation skills and the ability to lead strategic conversations that navigate the needs of PRovoke Media and clients
  • In-depth knowledge of earned media business and agency partner requirements
  • Ability to drive revenue in a fast paced, highly creative organization
  • A natural team player, motivator, strategic thinker, and entrepreneur
  • Maintain valuable client relationships and strategic partnerships for the benefit of the organization
  • A passion for success on a personal, team, and organization level
  • Ability to work well internally with members of other key departments
  • A strong network of senior level relationships and relevant contacts at major PR agencies is a plus
  • Ability/willingness to travel
