The Opportunity

Shorthand creates the software that the world’s iconic news and brand publishers use to create stories that create positive change in the world. Some of our customers include Sky News, BBC, Honda, TripAdvisor, and RELX. With customers on every continent (except Antarctica!), there’s never been a more exciting time to join Shorthand.

We recently accepted our first outside funding raise, hired a new Marketing leader, and are primed for our next level of growth across the world. We’re looking for a savvy and experienced B2B demand generation manager to help propel our future growth. Our ideal team member has demonstrated performance building, driving, and delivering MoM growth through execution, management, and partnership with all parts of the growth engine.

The Role

We tend to do things a little differently at Shorthand. First, we’re a small team distributed around the world. You’ll be working from home, or from a co-working location of your choice. Second, in addition to helping chart the course and drive the demand capture and pipeline marketing strategy, you’ll be expected to roll up your sleeves and execute the tactics and programs based on your strategy. You’ll do this quickly, iteratively, all the while building the system and processes to support our scaling and growth well into the future.

In this role, you will report to our VP of Marketing, and work closely with your team members in marketing, sales, product, and customer success.

We are looking for someone who:

Will be responsible for supercharging our growth in our target market segments. You will own the marketing funnel and be responsible for driving qualified opportunities and operations. You’ll develop and execute both strategic and tactical plans to exceed pipeline and revenue goals. You’ll partner with our demand creation and growth teams to meet or exceed our MoM growth plans. With responsibility for demand capture and pipeline marketing, you will always look to improve conversion rates through the funnel by ensuring our marketing systems are nurturing, scoring and routing appropriately and that no good lead is ever left behind. As a strategic, data-driven marketer, you’ll lead marketing performance reporting making sure our team, company, and executive team know marketing’s impact on revenue. This role requires a strategic leader that is equal parts creative, operational, collaborative, and revenue-minded.
